Open Submissions and choose Download CSV. Each response is a row and each question is a column, so the file opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers or most data tools. For a large form the export can take a while. If it does, SurveyOwl says the export is being prepared and emails you a download link when it’s ready.

Before you share the file

An export can hold names, contact details and links to uploaded files. Store it somewhere safe and only pass it to people who need it.

Keeping columns stable

Column headings come from your question text. If you rename a question, later exports use the new name, so tell anyone whose spreadsheet or script relies on the old one before you publish the change.
