Discord

Open the form’s Integrations tab, choose Discord, and connect your Discord server. Pick a channel SurveyOwl is allowed to post in, then save. Submit a test response to confirm the permissions and the message look right.

Telegram

  1. In Telegram, message @BotFather, send /newbot, choose a name and username, and copy the bot token it gives you.
  2. Add the bot to the place you want messages to appear. For a group, add it as a member. For a channel, add it as an admin with permission to post. For a direct message, open the bot and press Start.
  3. Find the chat ID. One way is to add @RawDataBot to the chat and read chat.id from its reply, then remove it. IDs for groups and channels are negative numbers.
  4. In SurveyOwl, open Integrations, choose Telegram, and enter the Bot Token and Chat ID. Save and submit a test response.
SurveyOwl stores the bot token securely and never shows it again after you save. Leave the field blank when you edit the integration to keep the saved one.
Keep bot tokens private. Anyone holding the token can act as your bot. If it leaks, revoke it with @BotFather and save the new one.
