A Payment block turns a form into a simple checkout. Razorpay handles the payment details and the money goes to the Razorpay account you connect. SurveyOwl never holds it. Payments need the Pro plan or higher.

Add the payment block

Type /payment in the editor or pick Payment from the block picker. Then choose how the price is set:
  • Fixed amount charges the same amount every time.
  • Respondent chooses lets people enter their own amount, at or above a minimum you set.
  • From a number block uses the answer to a Number question, which is useful for quantities. Add the Number block first, or this option isn’t available.
Choose a Currency too. INR works with a standard Razorpay account. Other currencies need international payments turned on in Razorpay.

Connect Razorpay

Connect your Razorpay account from the block and approve access. The connection belongs to your account, so every form you build can use it. If you see “Payments are not enabled on this server”, this deployment hasn’t turned payments on.

What respondents see

The block shows the amount and a pay button. Razorpay’s checkout collects the card, UPI, netbanking or wallet details, and none of that touches SurveyOwl. A required payment has to go through before the form moves on or submits.

Review payments

The form’s Payments section under Submissions shows what you’ve Collected per currency and each payment’s status. Every paid response carries a Payment received entry with the amount and payment ID, and links to the Razorpay record for receipts and refunds. That entry also appears in exports and integrations. Standard Razorpay fees apply, plus the platform fee shown on the block.

Test before you share

While the server is in Razorpay’s test mode you can pay with Razorpay’s test cards and UPI IDs. Do a full run-through, then check the payment in Razorpay, the response under Submissions, and any notification or integration that should fire.
