Do respondents need an account?

No. Anyone with a Hosted form’s public link can complete it while it is published and open. An Endpoint form appears in your own website or app, so access depends on that interface. Accounts are only for people who create and manage forms.

Is the Free plan a trial?

No. The Free plan doesn’t expire. It includes unlimited forms and questions, and up to 300 responses a month. See Plans and limits.

Why are my edits not visible on the public form?

Your latest changes may still be a draft. Open the form and select Publish again.

Can I put a form on my website?

Yes. For a Hosted form, use a standard embed, popup, or full-page embed from the Share tab. If you already built the interface, create an Endpoint form and connect it to the submit endpoint.

Can I stop a form automatically?

Yes. Both form types can be closed right away or on a schedule. Hosted forms can also stop after a set number of submissions.

Can a respondent come back later?

Turn on Save answers for later in the form’s settings. Answers are kept in that person’s browser, except file uploads and signatures.

Can I use my own form interface?

Yes. Create an Endpoint form and send JSON, URL-encoded form data, or multipart data to the submit endpoint. Responses are stored in the dashboard, while your site owns the fields, styling, validation, and respondent experience.

Where do payment details go?

Razorpay handles the payment credentials. SurveyOwl only stores the payment status, amount and payment ID with the response.

How do I reduce spam?

Every form is checked against a honeypot. You can also turn on CAPTCHA in Settings. See Protect a form from spam.

How do I get more help?

Contact support from your account. Include the form name and a description of what you expected, but never send passwords, account credentials, CAPTCHA secrets, or payment credentials.
