Choose the most specific question type available. It makes the form easier to complete and the response data easier to read.
Choices
Text
- Short Text suits a name, job title or other brief answer.
- Long Text gives people room to explain.
- Statement shows a line of text that doesn’t collect an answer.
Ratings and ranking
- Rating is a star rating with 3, 5, 7 or 10 stars.
- Linear Scale is a numbered scale with optional labels.
- Ranking lets people put choices in order.
Other
- Number accepts a number and can have a minimum and maximum.
- Date opens a date picker.
- Address Autocomplete helps people find and pick an address.
- Signature collects a drawn signature.
- File Upload accepts an attachment. Your plan sets the largest file size.
- Payment collects money through your Razorpay account. It needs the Pro plan or higher. See Collect payments.
Flow
Page, Welcome Screen and End Screen shape how the form moves. See Pages and form flow and Welcome and end screens.
Heading 1, Heading 2, Heading 3 and Text add explanation. Image, Embed, Video, Audio and Social Links add media. None of them collect an answer, so they won’t create empty columns in your responses.
Ask only what you need. Every extra question makes it more likely someone gives up. If an answer won’t change what you do next, cut it.
