The editor works like a simple document. Each row is a block, and the order in the editor is the order respondents see.

Add a block

Select the + button to open the block picker, or type / on an empty text line. Search for a block by name, use the arrow keys to highlight it, and press Enter. Blocks are grouped into Contact info, Choice, Text, Rating & ranking, Other, Flow, Layout and Media.

Write and format text

Click a question or text block and type. Use headings and text blocks to explain a section without collecting an answer. Text formatting is available from the inline editor when you select text.

Change a question

Click the grip beside a block to open its menu. From there you can make it required, add a description or default answer, change settings specific to that type, hide it, turn it into another type, duplicate it or delete it. Question settings covers each one.

Move a block

Drag a block to a new position. If the form uses multiple pages, make sure the block remains on the page you intend.

Undo, history, and publishing

Undo and redo work while you edit. History in the builder header keeps earlier saved versions. Nothing you do in the editor changes the live form until you publish.
Use Preview for the respondent view. The editor shows controls that respondents never see. Preview is the reliable way to check spacing, validation, mobile layout, and navigation.
