# Form settings

> What each setting does and which ones apply to Endpoint forms.

Open a form and select **Settings**. Change what you need, then choose **Save changes** when the unsaved-changes bar appears.

Some settings shape the Hosted form people see. Others control how responses are accepted, so they also apply to Endpoint forms.

## Which settings apply where

| Setting | Hosted form | Endpoint form |
| - | - | - |
| Redirect on completion | Yes | Shown, but your own page controls navigation |
| Progress bar | Yes | No |
| Self email notifications | Yes | Yes |
| Respondent email notifications (Pro) | Yes | Yes |
| Password protect form | Yes | No |
| Close form | Yes | Yes |
| Schedule a close date | Yes | Yes |
| Prevent duplicate submissions | Yes | Yes |
| Limit number of submissions | Yes | No |
| Closed form message | Yes | No |
| Auto-jump to next page | Yes | No |
| Save answers for later | Yes | No |
| CAPTCHA | Yes | Yes, but you add the widget to your page |
| Domain restriction | No | Yes |

## Completion

On a Hosted form, **Redirect on completion** sends people to a URL you choose once they submit. Leave it off to show your end screen. Use a full `https://` address.

On a plain HTML Endpoint form, add a hidden `redirect` field instead. See [HTML form](/developer-api/html#return-to-your-website-after-submission). With JavaScript, navigate in your own code after the endpoint confirms success.

## Receiving responses

**Close form** stops new responses right away. **Schedule a close date** stops them at a time you pick. See [Close or limit a form](/settings/close-or-limit-a-form).

**Prevent duplicate submissions** allows one response per respondent. See [Prevent duplicate submissions](/settings/prevent-duplicates).

## Security

**CAPTCHA** is covered in [Protect a form from spam](/settings/spam-protection). **Domain restriction** is only for Endpoint forms. It makes the form accept submissions only from websites you list. See [Submission API reference](/developer-api/submit-a-response#domain-restriction).

## Danger zone

**Delete this form** permanently removes the form and all its submissions.
